GDD & LDD Examples
Game and level design documents I wrote — two selected, the rest as supporting examples.
- Notion
- Microsoft Word
Game Design and Level Design Documents from university and my own projects. Three are worth reading first; the rest are here as supporting examples, and they range from video games to card games.
Selected Documents
KILLSTREAM — GDD ↗ KAM — GDD ↗ Sunset Express — GDD ↗
KILLSTREAM is the design document for the party game I am currently leading — see the project page. It is a living document at version 0.1, still being revised as the first playable comes together.
KAM is the design document behind my graduation project, written by the five-person team. I contributed to it as the developer and shared designer on the project, and built every gameplay system it specifies.
Sunset Express is the design document for the co-op physics game covered in its own postmortem case study — a 2–4 player game about carrying an unstable coffin, written to the point where it could be built and playtested.
